NEW Slider Designs, Bolt-Action Pens and more! (blog post)

If you recall...

Last week -- or the week before -- I talked about "Project Otter". Project Otter is an in-house document I created ...and it's packed with NEW concepts and designs for Sliders and Fidgets we are prototyping and bringing into production over the coming weeks and months.

It is going very well - and I have more to show you. Last week we had the Egg Slider, WideBoy and KingCrab.

This week we have:

The "Hog" (although, I'm thinking I might call it the "Inverse Skelly Toad"):

The "FaceHugger":

The "ChocBar":

And, last but not least, the Sandwich is back!

Now, I'll be honest here, I've totally re-designed it from the ground up (because we now use S48 plates on it) ...and it's a little on the thick side.

I am working on getting it thinner - but it's going to take time. It functions very, VERY well though:

So, weird thing...

I was planning to have a bunch of these NEW Bolt-Action Titanium Pens available for you today.

We had these "Bolty" pen product listings ready and active - but not actually listed anywhere on our website. But, somehow -- I'm guessing through the search function on the website or something like that -- a whole pile of people found these pens and bought them all (within a couple of hours).

Now, I am absolutely not complaining - but I don't really have the Bolty pens to offer you that I was hoping to.

My favourite fidget is the Atom. I love making sliders. I actually love making pretty much anything out of metal ...especially if it's something that's got that "Magnus Magic" uniqueness.

But, for me, if I had to pick just ONE fidget to keep forever - it's the Atom.

Quite often, if I can't get into a "thinking groove" when I'm designing or strategizing, then I'll grab the Atom. Pretty much without fail it get's me to that flowstate of mind. It may sound geeky - but it's true.

P.S. Probably shouldn't say this, but... the Atom is one of those product we don't really make much money on (I just want to make it because I like it so much personally :-).

These were chunks of aluminium we were about to turn into more "fixturing" ...so we can run more parts on the machines.

One of our guys has been working relentlessly from last week until yesterday afternoon.
