Welcome To The "Mag Lab" Experiment...

Magnus' Laboratory -- or "Mag Lab" -- is where I'm going to discuss NEW fidget-related prototypes, designs, improvements ...and random experiments.

Not only that, but... I'm also going to offer some of these for sale (on this very page).

There are two reasons I want to do this (one reason where I gain ...and one reason where you gain).

Reason #1 (this is where I selfishly gain):

I'm relentlessly trying different things (as you are probably already familiar with). And I'd like to try getting these new tweaked versions and designs out faster -- and to a much smaller number of people -- compared to my typical big launches.

Reason #2 (this is where YOU gain):

On this page you'll get a chance to try new designs, materials, tweaks, etc. Some products will be discounted as it's a new test or experiment ...others may have a premium price attached (because it's something very novel or a Limited Edition version).

* In-House Material Experiment *

The video below is of Sweep slider made from Epoxy Resin.

I mixed, colored and cured this resin into a couple of blocks myself (I made a silicone mold from which I then cast the blocks).

After a few days of curing, the blocks were still too soft to even be clamped for CNC machining. But another week of sitting on top of the warm air compressor resulted in the blocks hardening to a point where they could then be machined.

The machining has resulted in a smooth, frosted look and feel.

I'm still experimenting with resin. The downside is the waiting ...you have to wait so long to see if something has worked.

These first two Sweep slider bodies turned out perfectly and so I'm offering them for sale. This is the very FIRST in-house cast resin slider I've made.
