Dear Friend,

What I'm about to show you is something I initially made for my young son.

For years my son had been constructing things with LEGO® and similar toys. As he was growing older (he just turned 10) I started see the limitations of such toys.

Don't get me wrong...

I absolutely love LEGO® and think it is the greatest toy to have ever been created for kids.

But, as my son Julien got older, he needed something that would challenge him more. Something that was much more than just a toy.

I found there were lots of construction kits out there for kids ...as well as loads of stuff made from cheap plastic - but, like I said, I wanted something where REAL projects could be made.

Long story short:

There didn't seem to be anything available and so I rolled-up my sleeves and got to work!

Starting with 3D-printed parts (for prototyping) I was able to make progress fairly quickly in terms of figuring out sizing and geometry for this "construction set".

Once I had the overall concept I then set to work on the CNC-milling machine to make the parts out of aluminum. It took quite a bit of adjusting and tweaking in the beginning - but, soon after, I had the first few parts made of what I am calling the EpicMake™ construction set:
I machined some more pieces and then gave them to my son to see what he would do with them. Around 10 minutes later he ran down to the workshop to show me this:
Honestly ...I was impressed! Not so much with my son's building skills (although I did think they were pretty good). What impressed me was that what I made seemed to be working just like had hoped it would.

It seemed to be effortless to use ...AND the end result was something of blisteringly high quality (as opposed to other stuff I had seen that used junky plastic parts).

So I got to work and made some more parts:
Unlimited Designs
Like I mentioned above...

I quickly saw this construction kit as something to make REAL projects with (and not just an advanced toy for my son).

I spent a couple of hours just "playing around" with the parts I had made and here are just some of the designs and projects that came to life:
Cellphone Stand
Pen Stand
Yeah, I know ...this is probably the most over-built pen-stand in the world.
Cup/Bottle Holder
The cool thing about this particular design is that is clamps onto the desk (it's absolutely rock-solid!).
Tablet Stand
This was a fun one because my Father started using it for his iPad as soon as I had made it (which I thought was cool).
Slingshot
This is an honest-to-goodness, 100% working (and powerful!) slingshot.

NOTE: The slingshot rubber-band is not included in any of the EpicMake™ sets (but they are commonly available).
Precision CNC Machined
The EpicMake™ is entirely cnc-machined in-house from raw aluminum plate.

I must confess to you:

This is a totally NEW type of product for me (usually I make small, titanium products) ...and so I'm kind of "feeling" my way around in terms of what to offer.

So what I've done is put together two different sets that will be available to you.

Each set contains the same range of components (but one set has more components than the other).
